FROLIC- TRAIL'S END CELEBRATION

Bringing the herd home, or delivering the herd, always called for a celebration at Trail's End. These celebrations would become known as "FROLICS". After weeks or months of rounding up wild Cracker cattle, and driving it to market, the Cow Hunters were ready to enjoy all the things they had done without while on the trail.
It's in that spirit that we have planned the Great Florida Cattle Drive '16 Frolic for Saturday January 30, 2016.
The Frolic will take place at the Kenansville Silver Spurs Rodeo Arena. 589 First Avenue, Kenansville. Florida 34739
Doors will open at 9 am for the public. 7am for vendors. Be there by 11am if you do not want to miss the grand entry as all the riders bring the herd home.
We will have:
  • Food vendors
  • Arts and Crafts from the 1800s
  • Whip Makers
  • Historical Reenactments
  • Cracker Storytellers
  • Live Music
  • Cowboy Poets
  • Authentic Cracker Camp
  • Old Tack and equipment
  • Sponsor Booths
  • Historical Exhibits
  • Raffle and Auction
Be there before 11 am when we ride in with the herd. Over 500 horses and mules, wagons, and 500 cows will be driven into the arena. Many of the riders and wagons will be displaying their County flags, out of state riders will carry their state flags. Media from many parts, including some from outside the U.S. will be there covering the event,
Family and friends will be on hand to welcome the riders.
In all, it will be an old fashioned Cracker Style Gathering celebrating the nearly 500 year old Cattle Industry of Florida and Florida's Cow Hunter Cracker Heritage.
Admission is $10.00.
